Midget Girls Tournament Team Try Outs
Submitted By Wendy Johnstone on Sunday, September 22, 2019
Some changes have been made to our Bantam & Midget Girls Select Program for the 2020 Season.

When coaching applications were originally received, we had applications for both a Bantam & Midget level PWSA Coach. Following coach selections this situation unfortunately changed. One of the 2 coaches we had selected was no longer able to commit to head coaching a team. We were then left with one coach (Ryan Anderson), who agreed to coach the Bantam team. At that time, we continued to search for a Midget level coach. Ryan held Bantam tryouts earlier this month, without enough girls in attendance to put together a team. After much careful consideration, we determined the best course forward was to have Ryan Anderson coach a Midget Girls Tournament team. This team will primarily play tournaments, including PWSA tournaments where possible, provincials, and ORs, but will not play in a league. Some of these details cannot be finalized until the spring, but this gives you a general idea of what the play level for this team will look like.

The tryout times and locations are as follows:

Wednesday, September 25 - 7:00-8:30pm - St George Arena Diamond B (7 Gaukel, St. George, N0E 1N0)
Saturday, September 28 - 10:00-11:30am - St. George Arena Diamond B (7 Gaukel, St. George, N0E 1N0)
Sunday, September 29 - 10:00-11:30am - St. George Arena Diamond B (7 Gaukel, St. George, N0E 1N0)

Bantam level girls are welcome and encouraged to come and try out for the midget girls team, and we are not closed to adding a Bantam Girls Rep team if interest materializes among players and coaches.

Registration for our regular program will open later this fall.
