St. George Spartans Program

St. George Minor Ball welcomes everyone in the St. George and surrounding areas to register for the 2017 season. We will hold our final registration in the Community Room of the South Dumfries Community Centre on February 25th from 10:00-12:00.

Division information is as follows:

T-Ball (Co-Ed) - for children born in 2011-2012 - $90 - Wednesday night games
Grasshopper(Co-Ed) - for children born in 2009-2010 - $120 - Monday night games
Atom Boys/Girls Divisions - for children born in 2007-2008 - $120 - Tuesday night games
Squirt Boys/Girls Divisions - for children born in 2005-2006 - $120 - Wednesday night games
PeeWee Boys/Girls Divisions - for children born in 2003-2004 - $150 - Thursday night games
Bantam Boys/Girls Divisions - for youth born in 2001-2002 - $150 - Game Night TBD

Please note that while games are generally scheduled on the nights listed above, there are times when other nights are used for scheduling purposes. Games are played both at home in St. George and away at neighbouring centers. Practices will be scheduled at the start of the season based on the total number of teams and diamond availability. 

Registration forms will be available at the time of registration. Payment can be made by cash or cheque made payable to St. George Minor Ball. Registration is not complete unless accompanied by payment in full. Registration includes the full cost of the uniform, with the hat, jersey & socks being yours to keep. We require that pants are returned at the end of the season. Please bring a copy of the player's birth certificate to registration.

Additional Information:

T-Ball (Born 2011-2012): This division is instructional and has a "have-fun" atmosphere.T-Ballers play a 10 game schedule (5 home and 5 away) starting in mid-May and ending towards the middle of July. All teams will generally have one practice and one game per week. There are no playoffs for the T-Ball division and the division champion is decided by the regular season standings. Everyone receives a medal for participation. At the T-Ball level, parent participation is required to assist with players on the bench and on the bases.

Grasshopper (Born 2009-2010): This is a co-ed team with 14 regular season games starting around the first week of May running towards the end of July. All teams will generally have one practice and one game per week. Playoffs for this division are held over the course of the first week of August, with games scheduled based on standings.

Atom (Born 2007-2008):
At this level girls and boys are split into separate teams. They will play 14 regular season games starting around the first week of May running towards the end of July. All teams will generally have one practice and one game per week. Additional tournaments may be entered at the discretion of coaches and parents. Playoffs for this division are held over the course of the second week of August, with games scheduled based on standings. If enrollment permits, there will be tryouts for a Select level team with all other players split into House League teams.

Squirt (Born 2005-2006): At this level girls and boys play on separate teams. They will play 14 regular season games starting around the first week of May running towards the end of July. All teams will generally have one practice and one game per week. Additional tournaments may be entered at the discretion of coaches and parents.Playoffs for this division are held over the course of the first week of August, with games scheduled based on standings. If enrollment permits, there will be tryouts for a Select level team with all other players split into House
League teams.

PeeWee (Born 2004-2005): At this level girls and boys play on separate teams. They will play 16  regular season games starting around the first week of May running towards the end of July. All teams will generally have one practice and one game per week. Additional tournaments may be entered at the discretion of coaches and parents. Playoffs for this division are held over the course of the second week of August, with games scheduled based on standings. If enrollment permits, there will be tryouts for a Select level team with all other players split into House League teams.
 
Bantam (Born 2002-2003): At this level girls and boys play on separate teams. They will play 16 regular season games starting around the first week of May running towards the end of July. Based on enrollment for this age group at our Center and the surrounding Centers, a determination will be made as to whether this team will play in FMSA or Oxford County.

St. George Minor Ball reserves the right to use their discretion for development of team rosters when applying
team cap limits. Teams in some divisions fill up very quickly. We encourage you to register early ifyou are certain you want to play as teams are filled on a first come, first served basis.
